Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Theory Practice (“Theory Practice”, “we”, “us”) — our website, apps, and services. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility & accounts

• If you are under 18, you may use Theory Practice only with the involvement of a parent, guardian, or teacher who agrees to these terms on your behalf.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
• Teacher plans include a number of student “seats.” The teacher is responsible for how those seats are used by their students.

2. Subscriptions & billing

• Plans. Paid plans (Plus and Teacher tiers) are billed at the time you subscribe and recur each billing period until cancelled.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period.
• App store billing. If you subscribe through the Apple App Store or Google Play, billing, renewals, and cancellations are managed by that store under its rules.
• Refunds. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee as described on our pricing page. App-store purchases are also subject to the store’s refund policy.
• Price changes. We may change prices; we will give reasonable notice before a change affects your renewal.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Share, sell, or sublicense your account or seats outside the limits of your plan.
• Copy, scrape, or redistribute our questions, lessons, or other content except as allowed for your personal study.
• Reverse-engineer, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.

4. Our content & your licence

The app, its questions, lessons, software, and branding are owned by Theory Practice or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for personal study or, for teachers, for teaching your enrolled students. You retain ownership of the content you submit, and you grant us the licence needed to operate the service for you.

6. AI tutor

Our AI tutor (“Cleffy”) generates explanations automatically and may occasionally be incomplete or incorrect. It is a study aid, not a substitute for a qualified teacher or the official syllabus. Always verify important details against authoritative sources.

7. No guarantee of results

We work hard to help you prepare, but we cannot and do not guarantee any particular exam result. Outcomes depend on many factors beyond our control.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Theory Practice will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that harms others or us. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the “last updated” date and, for material changes, give notice in the app or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
